Here are my tanks. I really wanted to share some pictures of them.

P.S. 55 I have one fake plant along the surface of the water to provide coverage for my african butterflies.

55g = swords several kinds, palms, Moss Ball :D , Giant Vallisneria, and some other things i can't recall at the moment.

and my 20 gallon = all the live are right in the middle, they are mostly bamboo shoots with an assortment of I'm not sure what else.

I tried a new photostitch program, the pics of my 55 are actually 3 seperate photos of it stitched together, so the image sizes are larger.

looks good. whats the black sand?

It's not actually sand, it's gravel from the LFS that has a smaller grain, each pebble is about 0.2 mm long, not quite as fine as sand. I don't remember the company that makes it, not exo-terra but eco or enviro somethingorother.

With the black sand, don't you hate it how it looks terrible within 3 days after a water change it looks like you havn't sucked up the poop for a month. I think it is rediculously annoying.

I don't have to much trouble with that, i'm running an undergravel filter on it aswell, my cories and yoyo's and khuli's take good care of the bottom.

Very Nice!!!

Are those Melanotaenia boesmani in the top pic? They are by far my favorite rainbow fish.

looks nice
the 2 plants in the far right of the 55 are not aquatic plants and will die
but they make nice house plants

peace lily (Spathiphyllum tasson)

Thank you! Yes they are! Great fish, very active and fun to watch and add some color to the tank. I love 'em.

yes that's what they are. Most swords aren't true aquarium plants. They've been fine for the past 2 months, I read that they die and begin to rot slowly after a period of time, not sure how long, I'll leave them for now but thanks for the heads up.
