corona, ca
my shrimp molted lastnight so hes all sorts of weak and hiding and doing what shrimp do after they molt... anyway for whatever reason he decided to hide out in my plecos favorite hiding space..

this lasted most of the day.. but i guess it lasted just a bit to long because my pleco (6.5") is going to town on what is left of him

i know he loves beefheart and all but i had no idea he was willing to kill for some food...

is this normal.. i thought he was a pretty chill fish...

oh well...

Shrimps are very vulnerable in their molting stage. This may have led the pleco to eat it considering fish are opportunistic when it comes to food.

Are yo sure it is the shrimp and not the molt he is sucking on?

yeah he totaly ate the shrimp.. ive seen him munch away on dead fish... didnt know he had the moral flexability to do it himself...

i just wish he would eat some of the swordtails.. i hate them friggin things

It was a nice meal for him them...

yeah he was a happy boy
