I would like to ask you DIYer's for another favor.....
I have attached a few drawings to this thread of the plans for the tank I want to build. They are not very good drawings, but maybe you can see what I'm getting at. Please let me know what you think.

I plan on making another set of drawings using Google Sketchup once I figure that program out.

The tank is going to be in the corner of my living room and it will just fill the corner better in that shape. I also want something different to what anybody else has seen.

The fans are to cool the water in the summer months.....it get's hot in Korea in the summer!!

You will notice that I forgot to add the dimensions in the drawings, that's because I am currently offshore working (and designing tanks) and forgot to measure the area before I left the house. It'll be around 7 foot long, 3 foot on the short side and 4 foot on the wider side. I'm not sure what height it will be yet. I'll post more accurate measurements once I get back home in 4 weeks time.

As long as you take your time to get the angles right, and build it nice and strong, you shouldn't have any problems with building it at an angle, IMO. Yah, it won't be as easy as a rectangular tank, but if you're going that big, why not make it unique as well? It's going to be a PITA to build one that big in the first place, so making it like you have planned shouldn't be too much harder.

You just have to really make sure you get those corners cut right and butted together really tightly. If you don't, they'll be the first place its gonna leak.
