saw this little guy at a lfs a week ago and didnt get it, lucky i was able to have them hold it for me til today and the thing was, it was labeled as an ornatipinnis, but at least it wasnt ornate price. does $30 sound average to you guys/gals? the most i paid for any fish... yet. anyways it's a beautiful specimen

Great looking fish! I went to Tulsa today (about 2 hours away) and couldn't help but stop into the fish stores there. The only bichirs I could find were some senegals for...wait for it...are you sitting down? $39 dollars! They weren't tiny babies, but STILL!

Anyway, I love your fish, wish I had one just like it
