My pond

I have been lurking in the shadows for a bit, finally a nuff nerve to post:nilly:

this is my pond...i keep koi and is my second season with it, pictures are Spring 2007 after landscaping was complete & then Fall of 2007

Thanks! the barrel on the left is a gravel upflow filter...before i knew anything about ponds and bottom drains came this pond, simple submersable pump in a bucket with holes and lined with screening....bucket submersed in water and pile of river rock covers that.....over to gravel filter, large lava rock down to smaller lava rock and final stage is crushed oystershells. I am adding another filter with scrubbies that i have in my QT gathering up BIO that will sit in top of gravel filter.....I am adding a waterfall feature as soon as warmth hits on the right side and on the left will be a shower filter....I am really happy with my first attempt, by the way i found all supplies including plants for free!
