This is my pond i dug with a shovel i used a heavey duty tarp one of those black and white ones this is the forth year its been up that green in the water is hornwort i dont have a pump or filter there no electricety close to the pond.

I know its not big enough for coy but i put 3 little ones in there in the spring i cant tell if there still in there or not but theres probably food for them in the pond like masqedo larva i had a goldfish in there for three years and never fed him because i thought he was dead i cuaght it and put him in an aquarium hes still alive.How many gallon do you think this is its pretty big around but about a foot to a foot and a half deep.
But thats the reason i added the hornwort to oxenate and filter the water your probebly right though they probably died it used to have a pump and biofilter on it but we moved and now have no electric to the pond.
