I know they are just goldfish but, they are getting huge. In August of 2005 I dropped 10 feeder goldies into the retention pond behind my work place. The pond is not stagnet and never has less then 5 feet of water. It is also home to a mated pair of Mallard Ducks and a Groundhog. I have never fed these fish. They eat anything they can find. I have scooped a few out from time to time to give to friends to start out in the hobby and to feed a couple of big oscars. Hope you enjoy... FYI I took these pics today. Its 71deg here in NJ and thats a record. Just click on the pic below!

This is actually the 2nd time i've done this. When I was young we had an inground swiming pool. After my brothers and I all moved out my parents closed it and forgot about it. After about 2 years there was a lot of water and pine needles and other leaf liter on top of the cover of the pool. After removing a small snapper turtle, I added 24 fedder goldies. Much to my fathers dimay, the cover had rotted after being in the weather for a few years. The fish found their way into the pool. And there they thrived for about 6 years. The only problems they had were birds. A red-tailed hawk would dive at the pool for food and a blue Herrion was a daily visitor. I had to clean it out about 2 years ago because my parents moved. I had to drain the pool with a sump pump to get the fish out. The LFS gave me $300 in credit for the fish.

Hahaha good idea. I could have given you two adults too but I traded them in a few months ago.
