ok I'm in a bad situation. I have a 25 gallon tank thats severely overstocked and I'm at a loss at what to do about it. I have in it 1 female betta, 4 cories, 1 four inch pleco, 1 zebra danio, 4 otocinclus, and 2 clown loaches(one is about 3 inches long and the other a youngin at about an inch.) I really want to be able to give my loaches a good home so I can keep them but I have some problems. I didnt even consider giving them to my LFS because they take HORRIBLE care of their fish. I want to get a 75 gallon tank for them but Right now i dont have a place to put it. I want to put it in my living room but my parents are procrastinating moving things like the piano to make room. I also have buyers remorse so buying all the supplies to run a 75 gallon tank is like....HOLY CRAP. I was wondering if I could just get the tank, substrate, filter, and a cheap light to temporarily house them? Even this owuld cost a lot of money. Any suggestions that would lead to me keeping my loaches are welcome :]

Check the buy/sell section here on MFK, you never know what will come up for sale. Also check Craigslist for you local area. If you are lucky you might be able to find the setup you want or supplies you need for a lot less than new.

I check craigslist daily but my big problem is taking the plung and buying something. I am only a teenager and need my parents help with a lot of things

Rubbermaid tub, bubble filter, heater, and ask Santa for some fish tank love (he has room on that Sleigh of his)

ohh. i'm a teenager too. nice to see another mfk'er my age. None of your friends have fish? you can put it in their tank temporarily.
