I got this guy 10 months ago at 4" and now and he is a solid 7" and just awesome! Big shout out to Jason(Freshwaterpredators) for sending this guy to me. I'm still on the lookout for a perfect female for him but I'm really enjoying watching him grow and mature. He's starting to get a bad attitude and I love it! Enough of my rambling, on to the pictures!

This one has a very strong jaw/mouth. I know it sounds weird but that is the one thing that strikes me, as I looked at a couple of first few pics. in your post.
And I also like the female. How cool would it be to have a female with washed out bars all the time, and just base red color :) Why are you not thinking these two will bond, is it because they maybe belong from the same batch?

He's not too aggressive, he's not even number one in the tank. He will stand up to almost every fish in the tank and does defend his flower pot. He only lets the female festae around his area.

Thank you! She is a nice little lady but I prefer females with strong, solid bars. She has basically none haha! She is F0 peruvian and I think she is a very nice quality fish.
 
Wow very nice festae...when are you going to sell him to me? have any other males...LOL. my female is looking for a stud.
 
Jason has great stock and that male is a great example of the quality he passes on throughout the hobby. My advise to anyone getting festae is to get them from someone like Jason where you know the quality will be there.
