Thoughts?
It would lay flat. I'm just not sure how to properly install the hose connectors without leaks.
Also, is PVC cement & primer aquarium safe?
Thanks.

(Whoa, just realized the cited measurements are off. The PVC pipe and caps are actually supposed to be 2".
First DIY pump BTW. I had extra parts, and got to thinkin' how a pump works.. etc etc)

I don't know. First pump. I plan on using it for a feeder tank.
That's why I'd figure it'd be beneficial to figure out any flaws/additional supplies I might need... MFKers, I applaud you.

Is that the only downfall to having it on that side?
Wouldn't that mean i'd have to fill it with water first for the powerhead to operate properly?
Also, will elevation play any role in this design? I plan on having the tank (30gal rubbermaid) on the floor with the pump.
I suppose I could reverse the two having the pump still submerged in the tank, might take an extra part/connector.

What about putting the actual hose connections in the side of the PVC? I have no idea how to make these waterproof seals.
Thank you!

i have done it with airtight seals in aluminum conduit but not pcv. i'm not sure how'd you'd thread it to make it seal. try putting them on the caps and get some gaskets to go around the fittings.

Thanks man BTW. I know we've communicated in a couple threads, I recognize the avatar.
D in the house!
