I DO live on Lake Michigan first of all. And second of all there is no place where a 13lb walleye is average. That is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard, and I have been around fishermen all my life.

well think what you like, Ive seen pics from a few people including my own cuz. In fact a 10 pounder was caught there just last week.

How does a ten pounder caught last week equate to 13 pound fish average. It makes no sense. Im not doubting that big fish get caught there but an average fish of 13 pounds is not true. If that was the case who would care about a 10 pound fish becuase that fish is below average.

i dont know "tamer" he has a point about a huge 13 poonder being the average size but i never fished Lake MI so i dont know for real but at 13 pounds it sounds more like a trophy rather then a average catch. Good luck today tho, i plan on going out today also.

dont bash me! all i know is what i heard out of all the people ive talked to and the pics ive seen. And they said there average size fish was 13 pounders with a few smaller and a few up to 15 pounds. That 10 pound fish came from someone I dont know. And they wernt even fishing for walleye, they were fishing for salmon.

it may be common to pull out 13 lb walleye but as an average hell no. the average should be somewhere around 7-8 lbs if it is a good spot and 9-10 lbs if it is the best spot in the country. people fish there whole lives and havent caught 13 lb walleyes. at 13 lbs it should be about 3 feet long.

they are small, heres a bellow average fish for my dad got one close to 12 pounds and just last week someone landed a 16 pounder. 12-16 pounders are average, every now and then theres a 19-20 pounder caught. (from another thread)

First of all, good luck on your quest for that monster walleye!

I'm not sure you really understand what "average" means... :screwy:
