CBS radio offically killed off the FM talk station here in Los Angeles and I'm loosing it!!! I hate the crap they play on radio these days and I had been listening to that station non-stop for 7 years! I grew to know the personalities(or shtick whatever) very very well and I feel a big loss. Tomorrow will be the first full day without... I know I must sound crazy...:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: :cry::cry::cry:

not crazy at all!

When I lived in Maryland, there was one huge popular rock/alternative station. Big enough that they had a festival that drew huge name performers and sold out every year. One day they changed it to a spanish pop station. It is one of the strongest FM bands in our area, an area which doesn't seem to have a huge market for spanish music. Many of the DJ's and morning talk show people weren't even aware until the day of the switch. To this day, there still isn't a station that covers the rock/alternative genre as well as that station did. It's still an all spanish station.

disappointing to say the least.

RIP 99.1 HFS. RIP HFStival. I still have a HFS shirt. The kicker was they never even announced it. Just turned on the radio to hear spanish. Thought it was a joke...

Although DC101 is getting better...Roche does alot of grunge, which helps.

That spanish converstion happened here too. An aquiantence of mine's mother bought an awesome hard rock station and turned it into a spanish station cause she said there was no competition. I still get alittle sad when i turn past that spot in the radio.

It was just so quick. And the kicker is that most of the shows they had were num.1 in their time slots. Kills me

Eventhough I know they were playing their "parts" on the shows, I grew close. I was a delivery driver, so I listened to a specific show every minute they were on for 7 years...SEVEN YEARS!!! I knew them better than most of my real-life friends...:cry::cry:

YES rmorse!!

I was listening when it just cut to spanish. no one thought it was serious, still spanish, years later. I do catch DC101 when I'm back home, but I miss the Junkies in the mornings. I also listen to 100.7 The Bay cause you can't ever go wrong with some good classic rock and some 98Rock for my ravens games. Radio isn't the same anymore though, I rarely listen to it anymore.
