well after crossing the contry from rapps in NJ last wed and arriving at
my house in CA on thur my new amarillos were placed w my new red isletas in one sect of my split 60 w trimacs also new from jeff on the other side.
I kept a close eye on the newcomers while i was arranging a more permanet situation for the new arrivals. the amarillos, a little larger 3.5 to 4" compared to the isletas 2.5 to 3.0" dominated that side . i noticed tuesday they were digging, on thursday to my suprise there were eggs, i do not know when they were laid but they were a small batch and i feared the female could not protect them so i removed them and put them in a 5 gal and tonight friday i have 30 or so wigglers.
from across country to hatched eggs in a week in a relatively unestablished tank.
