In God We Trust
I bought some aquarian bottom feeder pellets at petsmart. I never feed pellets and was after some hikakari gold (spelling??) pellets and of course they did not carry sinking. Anyway my male motoro after a few minutes starting eating them. Awesome. These are probably not very good for him but it is neat that he did accept them.

mine eats hikari pellets..... i think they are still on a straight pellet diet.....

find a cheap place for pellets and buy in bulk.... not really my last ones were on straight pellets... but i do feed shrimps smelt and silversides to name a few....

My rays love pellets... both sinking and floating... they will swim up to surface to grab the floating pellets....

Not sure abt Nutrition... but it's easier to keep water parameter in my opinion...

Before I moved my discus to another tank, I sometimes fed them TetraColor bits (sinking granules) and believe it or not, one of my rays would eat them all the time. And, not sure if its a coincidence or not but her color was alot bolder than the other ray who really wouldn't eat the bits.

Anyway, does anyone know about nutritional value with these pellets and if (or not) they are good for the rays? And if so, what kind because I might try to start feeding mine some pellets. Right now I feed them nightcrawlers, blackworms, bloodworms, ghost shrimp, market shrimp, and minnows.

i think it is great to get your fish on a science diet fish food such as hikari. the only problem i have is expense. otherwise i think i would go with this food all the time and give other foods just as a treat. i know feeding would be much easier this way.
