Hes a male reic had him about three weeks and hes 13 inch from head to tail

I;ve never kept one before so don;t know what to compare it to size wise, I don;t think bones were showing then and when I first got him he fed really well on prawns and mussels last couple of days hes been less active and hes been chewing at the prawn but then jus leaving it which is worrying me,

I;ve kept the water changes regular and the parameters are good so don;t understand it cos something clearly isn;t right!!

First u should try turning the lights off during his feeding that might help a little but u should try feeding him some black worms, and some cut up earthworms.Retics are finicky eaters so have some patience.Another thing u could try is taking a few of the earthworms and soaking them in the water that u have your blackworms in.Small retics your size require some work but like I said before have some patience. One other thing I noticed about retics are that they are a little less actve than other forms of freshwater rays they like to stay buried a little more than other rays so dont worry.Just keep a close eye on him.

Kept 3 retics, all of which are as active if not more active than my motoros, never stop moving whether lights are on or off, they've been like that since day 1.

Im not saying that all retics are like that but from my experience that is what I have noticed with some retics. Some stay buried while the lights are on then are way more active when the lights go out
