My Red head cichlid digging?

Hi here is my red head cichlid I was told he was a male but why is he digging like this?

How big will these get in a 125gl weekly 45% water changes?
I got him a few monthes ago and he was like 1 and 1/2 inches now hes pretty big!
Also is there any other types of fish or smaller schooling fish i can put in with him?
I have a parrot fish and oranates them snak looking things and messes with the parrot fish...was thinking of getting some fish that don't get real big maybe a schooling type?

the digging is normal. normally they do this to stake their claim on a territory or a spot. but very nice.

I did they are not big at all...I had mine from babies and in about 3 or 4 months they will be a year old they got big but not that big my red headed cichlid when i got him only a few months ago was 1-1/2 in long and now he grew much faster and is pretty big and they only say they get 12 to 14in and it grew much faster than the ornats that they say 24"?

I want to put some other types of fish in my tank something that don't get big maybe a schooling fish anyone know of any good types that will be good?
