:help2:I have a red lobster for roughly less the a month. Purchase at a local fish store. In the tank i have 8 other fish. GT, Jack Dempsey, Firemouth and 2 convicts. Oh and 1 upside catfish. All I have been feeding are chiclid pellets. The fish are healthy. Do you think there wasn't enough food for the lobster?

cichlids love freshly molted crawfish. maybe it was old or it was sick you didnt give much details on size i unno my guess freshly molted and got damaged by the more aggressive fish

Umm.. the cichlids are only 2.5-3 inches. The red lobster was 5 inches.

as long as food fell to the bottom, the crayfish or "lobster" got to eat. it most likely died from your parameters.

How warm is your tank? Your crayfish is probably a north american sp. They live in cooler waters and do not do as well in tropical tank set ups.

Depending on the species it could have just been old. What did it look like when it died?

soooo end of the story for my red lobster that died. The good news is that I just pick up 2 Blue Knight Lobster! They're roughly 2-3 inches. What can I do to make sure they do not die? How do I know if they're getting enough food?

Currently all I'm feeding are chiclids sinking pellets. Do lobster eat waste? thanks

put them in a different tank, once the crayfish sheds, thats the time your cichlid will destroy the new crayfish.
