I purchased a red tailed catfish sometime in mid-late July 2013. I named him BUBBA He was a cute little kitten and the runt of the batch at only 1.5-2 inches he was tiny. I estimated his birth to be sometime in the beginning of July so about July first. Here he is on the very first day I bought him. He is still in the bag in the picture and was only $8.00

He was a looker haha. I was unsure if he was going to survive because the ride home was a 1 hour trip but ended up taking me 4 hours because of detours and heavy traffic. I had asked for a large fish bag pumped with extra oxygen at the store but instead they gave me a very small bag meant for small feeders instead.to add to this I didn't bring a bucket or air stone (total newb move :( ) After we made the trip home he refused to eat for about 1 week which worried me because of his size and girth he was not looking like he would pull through. Eventually He was progressing well after the long and stressful ride home and was beginning to put on some bulk and build up an appetite

He was growing like a weed super super quick and had a large appetite. Within a few weeks he had already gained about 1.5 inches !!! He was being grown out in a 20 gallon he only stayed in there 1 month then he went into the 180 gallon as another temporary grow-out

And finally he is becoming a big cat not a kitten anymore lol. He has an appetite of a whale and lives with a silver Arowana currently in a 180 gallon he will soon be in a 1,780 gallon enclosure after it's completely cycled and will hopefully live the rest of his life there. This is what he looks like currently present day. He is approximately 14-15 inches ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1385437669.433406.jpg
