im gonna try squid tomorrow
would saltwater fish be ok to feed em with?

I am not sure, I don´t feed them salt water fish because it turns out to be expensive.

once I gave them this fish robalo, sorry dont know the name in english but is an expensive spicies and they liked it.

The EXACT same thing has happened to me. Now my red bellies will only eat raw shrimp. Crazy buggers...

If your fish are hesitant to consume a newly introduced food soak it in garlic water. I had a group that wouldn't eat anything but shrimp. I wanted them to have a varied diet so offered fillets. They wanted no part of it for a couple weeks. One day [after eating spaghetti.] the thought came to me to soak it in garlic water. I did for about an hour and never had another problem.
Also, you may want to go a couple days without feeding them, depending on their size. Usually that will trigger them to eat a new food.

What size/species are they?

I think I got lucky cuz mine will eat anything I throw in there. It might be a pain but try and get them on pellets. It is cheaper and very nutritional for them.
