nice and your keeping plecos with them too awesome

Thanks! I've never had a problem with them and the Plecos. I put all fish in at the same time and the Reds were nickel size. The larger Pleco came from a Guppy tank and was used to being the bully. He's kind of bullied the reds around but in the last week they've had enough and push him out of their territories. The one Pleco had a few pieces of his fins nipped in the last week and is learning he's no longer housed with Guppies.

I don't see anything but normal disputes over territory. Everyone locally is convinced they're goners but I don't think that way.

i wanted 1 for a little while so i went to the closest pet store to me(almost a 1 and a half hour drive) for 1 for $15 at 1 pet store around 2 inches and less then a block away there is a another pet store selling them for $30 each at 1.5 inches

Do you mean those prices are for common Plecos? If so they're criminal. I just looked at a Pleco around 12'' long at one LFS and they wanted $15 for it. Around here a 2'' Pleco runs around $5 or less.

Nice Pygos and nice setup! Ever try leaving the shell
on? Mine used to pick arround it but now they'll eat

Funny you should mention that. These were my first batch and I kind of spoiled them. All my other Pygos eat anything I drop in their tank but these got to where they'd not even look at a shrimp unless it was peeled. I've been feeding them excessively and about every 45 minutes. I cut back this weekend to 3-4 times a day and they devour shells and all now with no problem at all.

those are some really nice color reds
you should try giving them beef

Piranha are not equipped with the digestive system to digest red meat so I avoid all red meat in general.

starve them for a couple days and they will change there eaing habits. thats what I had to do with my reds to get them off feeder fish
