Nice looking fish. Did it take long to get it eating prepared foods or was it eating them when you got it?

I also like the macro algae.

nighthawk

thanks

was eating "nori" at the lfs and frozen

at home it would only eat nori(with a passion) and pick at rocks for about a week then took to frozen it took 3-4 months to eat flakes and pelets

the macro is a new addition today.iam actually gonna do the tank with varrious types of algea with the coalt corals as "trees"

I eventually want to have one of these for sure. Impressive to see that you kept an Indo one alive. They are super sweet..

the fact that it was healthy, fat, active, and eating nori with a passion before i got it helped ... i skipped qt and went straight to the reef tank with this one but did treat for flukes in the DT since i had no "worms".. it was a proactive fluke treatment rather than reactive yes it was a gamble to skip ot i felt it was worth it since the reef at that time was only 30g with 2 colt corals.. and a pair of juvi clowns ie easy to move the fish if needed to leave the tank fishless for years if i needed to...the reef is now a 75g and will move to a 175g bow at the end of the summer(i have the 175g bow as a fowlr now and will be moving late summer and thats why iam waiting to move him..1 move instead of 2 moves) the regal seems very content at the moment in the 75g, he spends his days picking at the rock, slowly crusing in and out of the rock work, visiting the fire shrimp who occassionaly acts as a cleaner shrimp.. no pacing or any indications that he is "unhappy" or cramped in the 75g at this point. he is a "deliberate" eater, will pick food out of the water colum then after the floating foods are gone he will slowly "graze" the fallen food particles off the rocks and bottom of the tank (he is as good as a clean up crew..lol)

truthfuly i wanted a yellow belly but when i seen this one i decided that an active, brightly colored, healthy, fat EATING indo would make me just as happy as a yellow belly and its a misbar as well all for the whopping price of 100 plus tax the wife said merry chrismas because i got it 1 week before christmas at the fantastic lfs in my moms town which is 2.5 hours one way from my home,
