First off, I woke up this morning to my dog missing. I made some fliers and started to go around to stores putting them up. I had went into Petland to put one up and said why not look at the fish while I'm here. Well I started to look and at a bottom tank a huge wound on thee side of a TSN caught my eye. So I went down and looked at it. Noticed one of his eyes was missing and it was nicely healed over. Then he turned and was face on with me and his other eye was gone too.
I asked a worker there what happened and what they are going to do with him. He said well a guy brought him in and they were going to sell him for 60 but some fish it was with there tore him up. So he was like the value of it just went way down... I just want to see it go to a good home. So I was like well can I have him then? He told me 6 bucks and I can take him home.

So after waiting about 20-30 min he finally comes back and goes to bag him up... Uses a net and it gets caught in it!:irked: Here he was acting like I don't know anything about these catfish and look what he did. Every time I go in there I mention the cats Ive got to him and I still get treated like I'm dumb. Oh well. I have him now, so it's all good right? Here is a picture of him. He is about 12-13"

ouch! I hope he gets plenty of TLC from you, he'll need it. Congrats, these rescue fish end up being my favorites

Thanks everyone. I'm such a sucker. He will do great here.

I don't think there will be a problem with him eating... when they moved him to another tank he ate the fish in there. lol

great save
hope he heals up well
and on a lighter note you will have a fish that is just not skittish at all as it can't see anyone approaching the tank :D

that guy will be awesome. I've had catfish with no eyes before and they eat more than ones with eyes. Usually very active, just swimming around tasting everything with their wiskers. Good job on the rescue.
