So I rescued some three leos a while back from a friend that was unable to care for them.
All three are female and a year or more old, but still only 6" or so. Could some questionable care in the beginning kept them from reaching their full potential size wise?

I have them in a 20 long right now as this is all I have room for and they seem to be ok with that (they were in a 10). They get meal worms every other day at least and crickets once a week (the crickets get gut loaded and the mealworms are dusted once a week).

Wow, those are small, my 6 month olds are bigger then that. I'm guessing it's a combination from lack of heat, space, stress and food. Got any pics?

No pics, still in need of a new camera. You think they're cool in the 20 long? I use an UTH and a red reptile bulb to control heat and it seems to stay just about right according to most care sheets (not sure what the temps are off the top of my head but I spent some time reading before I set it up).

They don't appear to have any health issues, well one of them seems to have some sight issues (she can't catch crickets to save her life and misses meal worms about 5 times before she conects with one). Other than the vision thing they seem to be active enough and eat well. and come to think of it they are more around 8" (just looked at the ruler on my desk) but I'm thinking 10 is the norm for a full grown leo and these gals should be full grown by now. My friend had them for a little over 7 months and I don't know for sure how old they were when he got them.

This is my second run with geckoes, the first was a tokay when i was in middle school. Sadly moe did not last long as I was just a kid and the folks don't know diddly about herps. (moe was also a gift so there was no research prior).

I have kept iguanas that grew up to be large and healthy though so I'm pretty sure that I have a handle on at least the basics and studying what I need to know. Just wish these girls were full size as I would love to get a bit bigger tank (55/75) and maybe a male to see what happens.

Oh im sorry for sounding dumb, i think they'd be fine in the 20 for now but i would upgrade in time.

For 3? I would get a 30 gallon long tank. You could try fattening them up with some wax worms. But be careful that they don't get dependent on them. They are good for their fat content but not very nutritious.
