anyone have any freaking idea why it is doing this? It is pretty entertaining, but it seems like something is "off" in his head lol.

I have had him for 2+ months and he has done this for 2+ months. he seems completely out of control, but he comes out of his "attacks" and navigates perfect landings under rocks, in between rocks, under driftwood... its like he has full control but it sure doesnt look like it.

It is NOT being harrassed. I haven't even seen a single fish look at it (house with leopard bush fish, african knife fish, sen bichirs, african butterfly fish).

i have also never even seen him eat (live worms or blood worms just land on him and he doesnt move) but thats another story.

it kinda looked like to me on the video that he was scratching himself against the glass and decorations , maybe he has ich? check to see if he was small white bumps over his body.

good luck.

He's crazy! I don't know what's wrong with it, perhaps there is something stuck in it's body that it just wants to get out. (doesn't look like gas though) It's been doing this everyday for the past 2 months???

My advice would be to pm oddball or beblondie on this one...

it seems that he is restless and does not like being in captivity . mine swim around a lot but nothing so iwld as that . its a spasum caused by what ?

idk about every day. he seems to do it in the morning at late in the evening, and that is when i am not home so idk if he does it everyday. I have seen him do it at least 3 days a week though

he does swim normally too. he doesn't always spazz out like that.

mine acts sorta like that when she is hungry, throw in a cube of frozen beefheart and see if it eats that, mine loves it.
