Royal plecos have an unbelievably slow growth rate. Thats insane that it would go 3"-10" in 2 years. I love big ones but only at like 18"...Too bad it takes 20 years for that.

ya i was amazed at its growth rate myself because my dad said he has kept them when he was younger and they took forever to grow that's why both my dad, my cousin and me were all amazed at how freakishly fast it grew.
