I woke up this morning and I could not find my dragon fish(violet goby). I was looking everywhere! I decided he had to have jumped out and died in the night so I was looking around my tank stand to no avail. I was sure there was no way my RTC could have eaten him because my RTC is only 6.5 inches long and the goby was pushing ten. I checked the RTC and sure enough he is completely engorged. He is so fat that when resting on the bottom of the tank his chin is an inch off the floor. I still cant wrap my head around that and honestly would have like to see it happen. oh well. anybody have borderline unbelievable stories of RTCs eating huge stuff?

My old rtcxtsn ate a bowfin almost the same size as it. Dragon gobies as bendable. Don't house anything with an rtc or hybrid of you wouldn't mind losing. They will eat anything g.

Yeah, I probably have to qualify my "wow". Violet gobies are shaped like an oversized worm. So, I am not surprised the RTC could eat it. I am surprised the RTC was able to fold it a few times and fit it all in his tummy. I'd expect stepwise swallowing/digestion.

My first thought when seeing this thread was, wad a rtc eat this time. The dragon goby's (dragon fish, violet goby) are like bigger said wormy. I had a 12" rtc slurp up a 18" dragon. He then proudly swam vertically against the front of the tank to show off his fresh meal.
