My house
ok so the other day i noticed my new baby 3 inch hybrid had cloudy eyes. i did a water change and added salt. today i woke up and went to feed him. his right eye is completely gone. all u can see is the socket and its red. but when i put his food in he ate fine like there was nothing wrong? will he be able to live a normal live with the loss of his eye. and what if the other one falls out!!!:nilly:

What's in the tank with him? Eyes don't just fall out. I've had a catfish cut it's eye in half, I got one without eyes, and had a small cichlid make lunch out of one, but never just fall out. It sounds like it was taken out by something else.

hes in the tank with a very small flowerhorn. the flowerhorn is scared to death of everything and hides all the time. so idk if it was him but could it of been?

:ROFL:funny how you worded that lol..
But yeh it was probably your FH unless he damaged it on some decor you have in the tank.

It should be fine-especially cause it's a cat. They use their barbels much more than their eyes anyway. I actually saw a TSN at a store that had no eyes (looked like a birth defect-didn't even have eye sockets) and was doing just fine

Yeah, like everyone else already stated, he will be fine. I have an eye-less TSN who does great. He comes up with everyone else during feeding time and what not. I don't know how he knows when I walk up to the pond though lol
