My RTCxTSN Will Not Eat

I have had him for about 3-4 days now and he 109% refuses to eat. It is SO frustrating. I got him expecting him to devour everything and be all cool but instead he just sits there and occasionally moves to a new spot... I have tried, feeder goldfish, minnows, shrimp, blood worms, cichlid gold, krill , flakes, bottom feeder pellets and alot more. He doesn't even seem to notice them.

Why is he not eating?

It takes catfish awhile to get comfortable sometimes. Give it time, he won't starve

Temp is anywhere from 78-80
Ph is near acidic (like i hear they enjoy)

If it is a small specimen, a few good spots for him to hide will help settle him down in his new tank faster

bro, maybe due to the water conditions, as far as i know they get used to environment very fast, and they are hardy. what kind of filtration u use?

aqueon quietflow 50 (lol i know its not a good top of the line brand but whatever)

EDIT: OH MY GOD! I just realized that my nitrate is REALLY high! I have NEVER let a tank get like this! I am ashamed of myself! I will do a big water change and gravel vacuum to try to fix it....

ALSO he has eaten 3 feeder minnows (at least i think.... half of a ripped up minnow is stuck to the filter....)

FF, I think you know quite well 4 days is literally nothing, especially since he came healthy and well fed (unless that's a bloat or a clog). We are not talking a baby aro at 1.5". When it will have been 4 weeks, then I'd worry just a bit.

If your NO3 is high, fix it and have patience again
