Sweet!

david: i took it out, and i giv eit a nice soak in some ink:D lol
no no,
lighting brings colour out, and i remember i think koji or someone to told to tan them.
david, i now have 6 bulbs for the tank its in!!! i have 3 super white 15k tubes, 1 power glo, 2 aqua glow.

lighting really does amazing things with the colour, i dont knoiw if it physically changes the colour, but when you put that much light on, it actually glows and shines.

the tank is big, iriginally it was in a 650 but moved to a 1200 litre tank. 210x83widex70h.
i feed it daily.
it will eat 1 whole prawn sometimes 1 and a half prawn per day. Twice a week i will load it with mealworms the day before a water change. i breed mealworms to i feed it frozen mealworms gutloaded with fish food also. I cut the prawn in two, the top and tail bit, each bit has a massivore pellet in it. cook prawn i feed it.
on the days i load it, i will feed it massivore stuffed prawn and when it starts refusing that, usually after 2 pieces, i will then feed it mealworms, whcih is cant resist even when it refuses prawns..... i feed it mealworms untill it refuses that lol - only twice a week though. not daily!!!

i tested it wiht only the dimmer bulbs versus a combo with the white and aqua glows.
i found that having the combo of the two brings out the reds, and the blue hues on its scales. the white gives the gold a shine, removing the white does not show the gold at all that much.

the colour is there, but you cant see it.

sweet ya lighting plays da role in color

I wish mine would eat like that.
