Very cool! Mine is about that size so I guess about the same age. First time keeping these fish so all I know about them comes from books and or forums so some personal experience would be great if you have it. I've wanted to keep these guys for just about 7-8 years now but they are super hard to find around this area (DFW Texas)! Anyways keep us updated on this guy!!

Mine went from being about 6¨ to 14¨ in a year.


once they hit the 10¨mark they start to thicken out
 
awesome! I miss having an RTGG. Their size and color make them great centerpiece fish.
