Iceland
Hello, i have a SA/CA tank running, no pics til tomorrow but here are some general info on my tank in Iceland.

Tank size: 400L/100g.
Filteration: Juwel 1000 pump+Rena XP3=2350L/620G.
Gravel: Light brown sand.
Lighting: Dont remember.
Live plants: No.
Fake plants: yes.
Inhabitants:
1x Convict male 4"
12x Convict teenagers .5"-1". (growing out a female for the male)
1x Thorichthys Meeki/Firemouth stunning male 3"

In order: 2x Amphilophus Rhytisma, hoping for a male+female to pair up and breed in the tank, if not male+female i will just get another 2 and pick out a male+female to breed.

The tank is set up for small SA/CA cichlids. maxing at 7".
So my final set up would be:
Pair of Convicts
Pair of Amphilophus Rhytisma
1x Male Firemouth

Could i add some more cichlids maxing at 4-6"? How many then?

All comments on my set up are welcome good and bad.

yes i think you could add a few more fish that max out in the 4-6" range.

What is the footprint of the tank? If you end up with a breeding pair, that tank will get real small.

The footprint is 5x2x2 feet.

A 5'x2'x2' tank is 150 US gallons/580 liters ... are you sure on the measurements?

150x50x50cm/60x20x20"/5x1.6x1.6'.
Sorry, its 1,6' not 2'.

No need to be sorry, I was hoping you had that extra 50 gallons to work with!

I have been thinking not to have a pair of cons, just the male. If i had this setup:
1x Male convict (max at 6")
1x Male Firemouth (max at 6")
Pair of Amphilophus Rhytisma (max at 6")
Then could i add a few?
Fish that i had in mind that i can get;

Satanoperca Daemon
Blue Acara-Wild Cought
Black Acara/Cichlasoma Portalegrense
Salvini
T-bar cichlid/Sajica

I'd probably go with the Sajica, just to keep it an all Central tank. I don't think the daemons would handle the centrals well. The blue acara would, as would either the black port (Cichlasoma bimaculatum) or true port (Cichlasoma portalegrense). Not sure I'd risk the Rhytismas with a Sal, it would probably be fine but given how rare they seem, I wouldn't want anything more aggressive in the tank than they are.

I really like the Blue Acara's. could i get a pair of them?
