I am looking into new tanks for my SA lungfish as perment housing. Right now I have a used 155 (6ft x 2 feet at widest point) bowfront available to me at a great price. Could I use this to permently house my lungfish. Considering final size I realize this tank could be small, but considering how active these things are I do not know if it would be a problem. Also has anyone ever tried housing a jardini or ray with one of these guys? Whats your thoughts on that?

Thanks

i house a arrowana with a stingray before they are ok. but i don't know about a lung fish i hear they are very agressive. i'm planning on to getting a 3inch baby black colored African lung fish this weeken. i will keep it with my stingray any opinions?

what is the biggest species of lung fish anyway? is it the African, the Austrialian, the S.A., or the the asain lungfish? i seen 3foot austrialian lung fish before at the Columbus zoo.(they sit and do nothing.)

i would say the ray is fine as long as the lungfish is big enough and as for the jardini i wouldnt house it with the ray or lung...jardinis have a rep for being a nasty fish once it grows

i got a 6' silver arrowana today (it is in my feeder tank) i wonder if it is african that is what the guys at Jack's Aquriuam said it was, somebody else said that it was a black S.A lungfish what is it for sure?

sorry for the crappy picture, because the lungfish is soo small. it is at the top right with yellow spots.

yellow spots... sounds like a SA, by the yay what did you pay, and dose the place you bought him from ship fish?

i got him for 58 dollars, I think it was at that price because, i STORNGly belive! it was breed not wild caught. And yes they do have a website here it is.....http://www.jackspets.com/

I work in the fish department of a pet store (were currently the best fish store in Northern Virginia which I am quite proud of since my efforts play a big part in that) and we have a S.A. lung fish about 5 inches long... The price is $25 but we do not ship. We only do special orders for customers.

But I do not know to much about them, not something that I have put much research into and since ive been working there its the only one we have had. Though we do have 3 rays housed with 2 Silver Arowana's and a Jardini and they do fine, though the arrowana dont exceed 7 inches and the biggest ray is 14 inches (smallest is 4). Theres also some pink convicts in there around 5 inches in length.

are display items or are you selling them? If display items if i'm around that area i will check it out! (i love all monster fish) it's because i like to travel...........
