My SA setup

Just wanted to share my recent tank set up with you guys.I had the tank custom made by my LFS and I built the stand. My stock is 1 large angle fish 2 red spotted severums 3 jurupari earth eaters and 8 red eye tetras. The tank is 135 gal with a fx6 and a wave maker. Really loving the South American community set up its very peaceful and prob my favourite set up I've had so far. Excuse the crappy iPhone pics.

Thanks for the nice words. All the branches are oak and were collected from my back yard and the rock came from a small creek just down the road. I got some scape ideas on here as well as YouTube. I've been out of the hobby for 10 years and glad to be back.

I like your taste in landscaping and choosing the fish smartly. The choice of a school of red eye tetras (Moenkhausia sanctaefilomenae) is a really good one to go with the angels, severum and jurupari. They are nice and peaceful, but large and high-bodied enough not to become easy prey. One of my favorite common tetras, which somehow don't get noticed enough, and not too often used in larger setups. I have never had a school of them myself (just the odd one or two, inherited), but am seriously considering them for my newest setup, soon to be presented here. Thanks for sharing!!

The red eyes and jurupari are not regularly available at most stores I frequent and was happy to find them so I scooped them up as well as the adult angle. I think I'm pretty much fully stocked at this point. my severums laid a batch of eggs today and are surprisingly peaceful still. Love this set up!
