Thought it would be fun to keep a visual log of how my SA tank evolves over the next few months. Not only in tank decor but as my young stock grows as well.
The tank was first setup and looked like the below. All I had for lighting was a single 24" strip light but it kind of gave it a subdued lighting which didn't look half bad. However it was horrible for taking any kind of pictures and whenever a fish went into either corner they were hard to see.

After the great tank loss of 2013' I decided to move the decor around prior to restocking. Below is how it looked with the same bad lighting. I took away some plants and moved the driftwood into one corner hoping to make it feel like it was one giant piece...somewhat successful.

I decided that it was time for a lighting change. My tank is a tad different on top then most however. If you break a 72" tank into 24" sections you get 3 - well instead of 3 open sections on top I have 2 open sections on each side and the middle 24" section is glass. Makes it rather funky for larger lights as they don't sit right so I went with two 24" LED lights on each side leaving the middle unlit. However it really does help see the actual decor of the tank!

Next Update: I have more wood incoming and I hope that it warms up enough for the snow to melt so I can go out and get more rocks. Once I get more rock and wood I will then put back the rest of the plants I took out. I'm hoping to then hide all the tank equipment.

), two severums (efasciatus Rio Maica and a Gold) - however if I ever see a Super Red Sev it will be hard to pass up on for this tank, and an over abundance of Angelfish - They are wild crosses and when young there is no way to tell how they are going to turn out, so going to grow out the group and pick a few that have the coloration I want and then sell the rest.
