My salvini and cutteri have bred!

Amazing, but my salvini and Cryptoheros cutteri have mated and produced fry in my 180 gallon tank. I saw the eggs a few days ago, but didn't think they would hatch. But, today I noticed the fry moving around.

It's funny watching the pair defend the brood. They are both about 3 inches long, and they've pushed my 8 inch jag, 7 inch loisellei, 4 inch grammodes, and 6 inch friedrichsthalii to one side of the tank. The salvini female is especially aggressive.

Love the Cutteri, he's gorgeous.

I doubt the fry will last long, those brutes will get wind they can take the pair.

I'll take five please!! That would be a crazy fish! I can just imagine the colors and pattern now! Congrats on that! Very interesting pair bonding!! Congrats on some awesome fish as well, they all look in superb condition!!
