My savanah cage

so i wen to lowes today and priced wood for my savanah monitor enclosure it will be 2 feet high x 4 feet wide x 4 feet long..it will open from the top ...and it should cost at max 40 bucks or so..so i should get started on it this weekend..but im in no rush since my guy is still a juvie..im thinking of getting him a friend.......

I was under the impression that monitors should be kept in a well-sealed enclosure or high enough to retain the humidity.

Anyway... like Ophi, bad idea.

What kind of wood?I would and do use melamine for my blackthroat.Easy to clean and holds humidity well.

Humidity shouldnt be a problem with a Savanah.

Just seal the cage with two or three coats of polyurathane and your good to go.
