my 7" scomb is sick swiming sideways gasping for air it looks like. he somehow got a cut on his back a few days ago and im thinking it could be an infection of some kind. he was fine this morning. his stomach looks red also. i moved him to my other tank by himself and treated with maracyn plus. but i think im too late.

is there anything else i might be able to do?

i also noticed his eyes are cloudy.

99.999999999% of the time once a payara starts listing to the sides its too late.

Sorry but its true.

The maracyn is an excellent antibiotic. And coupling that with a hospital tank and higher than normal heat (84-86 degree's) is about all you can do.

Good luck

clouded eyes, can still save.
yea when they get unbalanced... it's past point of return. sorry. hope your situation deviates from norm.
there's a cost with moving the affected payara as the stress will take a toll.

well he is still alive for now. i raised the temp to 84, maracyn and hospital tank.

their is a possibilty that he was wounded from one of my stingrays.

awesome keep us updated

yes there are 2 others. that is possible also.

he passed last night. r.i.p

i did what i could.

RIP
