Have your wife's cat knock the bucket over before you start adding water, and the fish flopping around on the carpet. They are 2 Red Terrors, that seem to be fine.

I've heard from discus importers they often only let the bags float a small while to get temps similar and then just throw the fish in aslong as they aren't throwing a hard water fish into very soft low ph water or vice versa, they do very well.

I always put my fish in a bucket and slow drip them for 30-60 minutes, about 4 gallons of water.

Always a good plan, better to be safe. Do you quarentine though?

i dont' i know its a bad habit i drip alcmate becuase i din't QT i have ich in my tank :(

I usually quarentine, but all the fish I got in the last 2 weeks, were from 2 filtration systems, and put into a new tank. If I add new fish in the future, I will quarentine them for a week.
