my sen bichir is dying! pleeaasee HELP!

my 5 in bichir has red dots and stripes on his fins and he has been swimming on his side ............................(i think hes dying).what is wrong with him.

I’d keep the water clean and get some kanamycin or maracyn2 or triple sulfa. Hold feedings. What’s ur water parameters like?

The red dots and stripes are normal for young Senegalus Bichir. What were you feeding the Senegal. Also please list your water parameters this is crucial.

he died ,so i dissected him and found a red hard thing near his gills. i have no idea what it is .
i think he ate some gravel and choked. i just read that they need sandy substrate.
