jar's are smaller than silver's when full grown so i would say that they will grow slower but jar are a lot more aggresive than silver's and a lot of people have a hard time getting them to get along with any tankmates... a lot of people say that when they hit 12 inch or so they start killing everything in the tank including anything bigger... be carefully with the tankmates with him and keep a close eye on him when ya get him

wow, looks great. Great colors, nice spread fins, barbels and tail. kinda skinny though.=)
silvers are the fastest growers from the arowana world
i would say jardinis share similar growth to asians
careful, jardinis are temperamental...i would keep a close look on the tinfoil barb for sure!

Jardinis can grow from 1"-2" per month when under 18". Starts slowing down near 20". Growth rate just depends on many factor such as: tank size, temp, water condition, waterchange, etc.

jardinis dont grow as fast as silvers, what are you feeding your silver right now? i got one same size but fatter, i usually feed it a mix of krill and mealworms with a feeder once every couple days as a treat. im trying to get it on pellets but no luck yet, im gonna try harder once i get him in my 100 gal that im cycling right now for him
