This is my silver arowana had him for about a year or so id say he's approximately 13 inches and is just the coolest fish ever great eater really active. I have one question I was reading a post about a thing I believe it was called eye drop. Well I was looking at my aro the other day and noticed that one eye seems to always be looking down is this a sign?

Feed him top water floating food. This keeps him looking up rather than looking down to find food. Also ive read that they could get drop eye from injury like hitting a rock or something. I wouldnt worry about it too much.. just allow plenty of swimming space and keep food up top . should be okay. hope this helps.

Yes that is drop eye. As many silver arowana owners have found that feeding only floating foods has no effect on preventing DE.

I agree coolest fish ever after I lost ny first one to insecure lid no other fish had the same grace as the aro. So I got rid of them all n go another. Awesome aro

Thanks I normally do feed him from the top the only thing he don't eat from the top is feeder fish but the pellets and also the night crawlers are always fed at the top but i got another question I had a pike in with him who unfortunately died recently but it seems like ever since the pike died that the aros feeding habits have dropped off alot he was a really good eater always was one of the first fish to go for food and now he's kinda lazy about eating is it just because he might if saw the pike as competition or does it have to do with the DE?
