Hey, I apolgize in advance if this is common knowledge or something I should know, but I'm kind of new to arro's.

Anyway I've had my arro for now like 4 months, he's gotten huge. He eats ferociously anything that I put in the tank, from feeders to pellets, to flake, seriously anything. I've seen him go down to the bottom of the tank chasing an algae wafer I dropped and swallowing it. So basically the fish gets a great diet or everything.
He's also extremely aggressive and will sometimes slightly leap out of the water for my hand as I go to feed. But he's not aggressive to any of the fish, just towards me haha.

I was watching him swim today, and I noticed that one of his eye's is always looking down. Sort of like down syndrome, it's droopy and sticks out a bit and hangs down. I tried to take a pic of it but no luck. The other eye is completly normal. I was wondering if he's sick or if this is just a defect or something.

Its a DE, common for almost all Silvers kept at home.

This means Drop Eye by the way.

You're lucky if your Arow does NOT have this very common problem. Unfortunately, there is not really anything you can do short of placing him in a large pond to correct the problem.

Its kind of like how male Killer Whales have their dorsal fin bend over when kept in captivity.
No one really knows the TRUE cause, but it always happens. :(

some ppl said it's due to fatty diet , there also saying due to feeder diet that the aro has to look down all the time to find food. I feed my aro only diet that float like pellet and dried shrimp. Feeder can bring parasite anyway.
