Have had him for over a year now, he or she is about 18-20 inchs long, this picture was taken about 4 months ago so the fish is much larger and plumper. Its had its ups and downs, one was when I was cleaning the tank I had the lid off and the sucker jumped out, funney thing though and lucky for it, it landed in the cleaning bucket full of water, lol, all that was hurt was a few scales which grew back in a month or so. It used to only take expensive pellet Arro food, I then got it on beef, shrimp etc, then ran out of that one day , and it started eating Koi pellets, then I tried to get it back on raw meats and it wouldn't touch them, but since then it takes just about anything, even if its frozen solid, it loves ground beef balls frozen though, it takes them and holds them in its mouth till they unthaw. It has though once when it was smaller taken a few casualties, just two small 2 inch silver dollars, but since then it never jumps, I can actually hold it in the tank and if I am careful and have the meat in the water and not on the top, it will take it from my hand. It is housed with Large Silver dollars, a 2 foot Marbled Pim cat, a 2-3 foot African Lung and a 10 inch Electric catfish, it is also in a 240 gallon tank, which it has outgrown so will be goin into its new home in a month or so, and thats a big 480 gallon. But one thing I noticed, even though this is a comon Arro, comparing it to the others that are so called Blues etc I prefer the silver, if fed the right foods the Pink and Blue hues realy come out in the fish and its a gracefull looking Arro, not chunky like some breeds.

Now of course I am not comparing it to exotic ones that are worth a small fortune, thats another story. Right now I am trying to get my hands on a Black Arro.

Really NICE! I also think silvers are the nicer of the two South Americans but the blacks don't seem to get the droop eye as much. Though from your pic it does seem to be a problem for your silver.
