Well i've noticed my silvers dont fight at all anymore (nock on wood) Its ben 9 days and not a single nip, they are swimming near eachother more often also. How big do they have to be before arows can pair off?

I am assuming you mean 9 days since you removed the "DARK BACKGROUND". You have to admit, it seems strange but it DID mellow them out noticably didn't it? Hey milkman, You need to re post this and title the post "My Arowana update without DARK background" The reason I say that is it stirred up a lot of controversy. You should be clear on why you feel your fish are mellower. Milkman. Be PROUD! YOUR OUT OF THE CLOSET! Your one of us now!! The proud, the few, the MEN WITHOUT DARK BACKGROUNDS!

you my friend have to wait 3-5 years until they reach sexual maturity, and even still chances are very high that they WONT pair off, i mean you dont even know if they are male and/or female.

all you can do is let them grow, when you notice them gettin to big for you tank, move them into the pond. make sure temps n filtration is good in the pond, then wait years n years to see if they breed. thats about it, sounds easy doesnt it
