this is my rather simple sixty gallon that houses three 2 to 3 inch blood parrot cichlids. it was a rather boring setup until a few hours ago when I stripped the tank and filled it with some nice rock work and plants I got today. im planning on introducing a male convict in the next few days to see if I can get a spawn. its my first attemp with hybribs but I believe I have atleast one female out of the three as the two darker ones are courting and nesting in their cave. as you can see the rockwork provides a lot of different caves and hiding spots. I was going for a natural look to make cichlids feel at home. I keep my ph around 7.5, temp 80f and all the bad words at zero. I always perform daily 20 percent water changes. for filtration I have one 75g marineland HOB, a 20g whisper HOB, one powerhead and a ten inch air stone for extra oxygen. I feed the fish blood worms in the morning and hikari at night. if anyone knows anything about breeding hybrids please let me know what else I can do to better my chances. all others; hows the setup look? thanks for looking! its a work in progress.

Looks good,

heres the best shots ive ever got of my parrots, they are always too fast to get a decent pic. I took these yesterday before I remodled the tank. I know my babies aint show quality but I love em! the last pic was my
before setup, I think I did a little better lol this time.
