These guys run for cover everytime I stand up. I snapped a few pics of them with my Palm Pre when they gave me the rare opportunity to do so. Unlike the Midevil, these guys only like to be seen when thet can't see me. They are classified-bound!

that's my #1 rule with fish...if I'm feeding you, I want to see you. If not your gone! They are in a 120gal.; two Pink Fenestratus (4-4.5"), mystery gift hybrid Vieja (5"),female JD (5"). The big one was purchased as a Synspilum at 3". Now at 6.5" it still doesn't exhibit the normal Synspilum coloration. It's still a very beautiful fish with different hues of blue and yellow. The ends of its fins are becoming redder each week and more red is appearing around its mouth. I sent a few pictures to Aquamojo to look at it, hoping that he could properly ID it. I trust his expertise. He said that he wasn't sure what it was and that their are different variants of Synspilum with various colors. Basically, who knows what it is at this point! The new tank will be a 240gal. I don't want to have a big empty-looking tank in my living room. It's not that they stay in hiding. They swim around all day. They are just very nervous when people are in the room. Sometimes they scratch themselves on the decor when they dart for cover. That is another worry of mine. That and I don't want 240gal. of water in my living room with no fish in sight.flowerpower;4618993;4618993 said:What exactly do you have and what size tank are they in? Their behavior may change drastically in the bigger tank.
