So my wife is dead set on keeping her but I feel I can't provide a good enough home as my other fish grow bigger. Idk if she's stunted, just a runt or just hasn't had a growth spert. Below are her pictures and also her "sibling" (got at the same place at the same time at the same size).

Realize I forgot to post a question... Do y'all think I should keep him or find him a better home?

i had one that never grow past 3" i think sometime they just have weak genes through years of inbreeding.

They're known to grown pretty slow. And like hooligan said they might not hit their ideal max size because of how they're bred.

sorry not a fan, just does not appear vibrant/healthy. just my opinion.

I bought a dozen of EBJD 01-01-2015 (1 to 1.5 in) so close to 8 months the biggest one male is 4 inches, all other are around 3 inches and a few of them just didn't want to grow at all and stay around 2 inches. They are extremely slow growth rate, they are nice fish to keep though.

Ya, like I said got my other one at the same time and it's now around 4.5" I think, where as the little one is around 2.5". Just trying to decide if I want to stick it out and see if she grows more or let her go find a better home.

To Pops A) that wasn't really the question. B) rude. I've actually gotten nothing but complements from people her on my EBJD. I take care of my fish very well and always look for ways to improve. If you don't have something constructive to say or in simpler terms, If you don't have something nice to say... You know the drill.

I am sorry did not mean to be rude, please except my apologies was not my intent. to answer the question, no I would not keep him.

Apoligy accepted ^.^ now I just need to convince the wife that we need to find her a better home.

Isn't it funny how these fish are expensive? They rarely get big. They are really hard to keep alive when they're really small. And you see rarely pretty ones too often.
