My Snakeheads Complain If I Don't Feed Them Today

They will come at me and start chomping gently at nothing to indicate that they want to eat.

The other one will splash water to get my attention to say it's feeding time.

And the other one will try to enthusiastically swim at me as if he wants to hunt me down.

How does your fish tell you they want to feed?
 
They hang right by the glass staring at me, and as I have taught them to hand feed if I put my hands in the tank to clean something up before feeding them, there is a high chance that they will bite my hands.
 
Usually my monster (not snakehead) will stay hidden in its cave, its got used with my feeding schedule so it will come out and wait, it will look up toward the surface where I usually drop the food.
