about 5 1/2 in long

he eats excessively lol

im going thru his food soooo much faster than ever before (of course)

he begs all the time...... he gets fish about once a month

what do YOU..... yes you..... feed your snapper when its full grown???

Careful that you don't feed your snapper too much. They can get over weight and it can cause liver and kidney damage. I know it's hard not to want to feed them when they beg but you have to resist. I have the same problem with my Musk Turtles.

lol, I think all turtles are beggars. Can't help you with the specific diet as I only keep sliders at this point.

Repto-Min and Wardley's brand turtle sticks, plus occasional worms and feeders.

go to this web site. he has posted a great info section about snappers. he has 5 adult snappers and hes been through it all. he suggests some plants and chicken as well as reptomin and fish. try to stay away from gold fish as they are fatty fish. go with a leaner fish such as minnows or roseies.

Make sure you give your snapper a vaired diet. When I had snappers I fed them Reptomin, thawed shrimp, fish filets, freeze-dried shrimp, cichild & koi pellets, fathead minnows, earthworms, crickets, snails, lean turkey & chicken fillets, water lettuce and anacharis.
