Bad pics just want it to share :) this is my 5 year old Red Belly Piranha, he is about 20cms. there are some guppies in there. but that is by mistake, i moved some driftwood from one tank to another and all of a sudden i had 4-5 guppies. then later added 2 just so they wouldnt become inbread, and only 2 has gone missing in 3 months so thats not so bad. :) and after that went so well i added a common pleco, and he is doing just fine, my red belly dosnt care about him at all, the pleco is eating sinking pleco pellets, cucumber, and and what ever is left over from the redbelly, shrimp and such. He seems to be doing really well.

Great looking RB and I agree with stempy stempy on the aquascape.

Seems like you guys in Europe often give your larger fish big planted aquascapes, it's quite refreshing and looks great :D

I also am looking into keeping a solo Red Belly and have a few questions are they very active when solo are they hard to get to feed when first purchased and what type of landscaping should I have in its tank?Any help is really appreciated

IME not very active as such, they will usually pick a favorite spot and spend most of the day hanging around there. Though over the years an individual can potentially bond with you and they may end up doing little "happy/feed me dances" when they see you. :)

Feeding is nothing I ever had any problems with, mine took Cichlid pellets right off the bat as youngster and has had it as a staple diet for almost 15 years.

As for aquascaping, IME that's been a bit of an age thing. As a youngster mine always wanted to be able to hide behind and under plants. But as he got older he lost interest in hiding and simply hung around "his spot" during the days with little interest of seeking shelter no matter how I tried to arrange plants and logs in the tank.
